The Four Way Test

The Four Way Test of the things we think, say, or do can be profitably applied in relation to others in our home, community, business, national, and international life. It can guide us in making decisions about proposed plans, policies, statements, advertising in business and professions, proposed legislation in government, and relations between teachers and students in schools.

  • Is it the TRUTH?

  • Is it FAIR to all concerned?

  • Will it BUILD GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

  • Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
